Maintenance Services

We are happy to offer a full line of maintenance packages to serve your water gardening needs.  Whether you need a little reassurance that everything is looking good and working properly, or you simply want to come home to a beautifully maintained pond, we have a service package for you.

Silver Package (Monthly Service)
This package includes 12 visits per year with a VWG pond professional servicing your water feature once a month.  We will perform the following services:

• Check and maintain water level
• Check underwater pond and waterfall lights
• Empty the skimmer debris
• Clean skimmer filter mat
• Clean the bioballs filter as needed
• Remove leaves and other debris
• Check for leaks
• Check pump for proper water flow
• Trim or remove dead plants and leaves
• Dose your pond with Beneficial Bacteria

Cost: $99 per month*

Spring clean-outs and Fall netting are not included, and are available upon request.

 

Gold Package (Bi-Weekly Service)

This package inlcudes 24 visits per year with a VWG pond professional servicing your water feature twice a month.  We will perform all of the services in the Silver Package as well as the following additional services:

• Replace light bulbs as needed (customer purchase of bulb required)
• Fertilize aquatic plants
• Re-stack rocks as needed
• Ensure the liner is completely camouflaged
• Deliver and place pre-purchased plants, fish, and merchandise
• Perform Spring Clean-out
• Install Net over pond in early Fall and remove net once leaves stop falling (one time customer purchase of netting material required)

Cost: $189 per month*

 

Platinum Package (Weekly Service)

This package includes 52 visits per year with a VWG pond professional servicing your water feature once a week.  We will perform all of the services in the Silver & Gold Packages as well as the following additional services:

• Perform Spring Clean-out with priority in the schedule
• Install Net over pond in early Fall and remove net once leaves stop falling with priority in the schedule (one time customer purchase of netting material required)

Cost: $299 per month*

 

*Note: There may be an additional charge if you are located over fifteen miles from our location.  All three packages are for a single water feature up to 200 square feet, including up to a 10 foot stream.

 

Seasonal Services

In addition to the packages offered at Virginia Water Gardens, there are services for specific times of the year as well.

 

Prices start at a $75 service call (within a 15 mile radius), plus $75 per man per hour.

 

Spring Clean-out

Many pond owners like to get off to a fresh start by having a pond clean-out.  Clean-out services include draining the pond, removing debris, cleaning filters, washing rock and gravel, checking lights, trimming plants and acclimating fish back to the pond.

 

Fall Netting

When Autumn comes around, it brings with it the challenge of falling leaves.  To prevent ponds from getting filled with leaves, Virginia Water Gardens offers the service of having a netting installed overtop the surface of the pond.

 

Winterization

In the winter, we choose to leave our ponds running and enjoy the beautiful ice sculptures.  During severe cold weather, however, it may be necessary to add a de-icer or small bubbler pump to ensure proper oxygen/gas exchange to protect your fish.
